Mannheim, Germany, May 18th – Movilizer GmbH, a leading provider of enterprise mobility applications for mission-critical business processes has been included in the list of "Cool Vendors" in the Cool Vendors in Mobile App Development, 2015 report by Gartner, Inc.
“Being named 1 of 5 Cool Vendors out of hundreds of enterprises offering enterprise mobility solutions is a true confirmation of our mission to become the standard platform for companies to go to if they are looking to mobilize their absolutely business critical processes.” says Co-founder and CPO, Alberto Zamora. “Having worked on customer projects throughout the industries and across a variety of business units, we gained vast experience in the mobilization of these mission-critical processes, which we can now fully offer to our customers, by providing the platform, that can adjust in a simple and flexible way to their specific needs.”
In the past 2 years Movilizer GmbH has brought 200 Multinational Customers on the Movilizer Cloud. These companies are using the Movilizer Technology in a broad range of business units from Field Force Automation to Sales & Distribution, Warehousing as well as Tracking & Tracing, Quality Assurance, and Anti-Counterfeiting.
Movilizer’s customers are spread across a variety of industries from Service & Utility Companies, Foods and Beverages as well as Industrial Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Engineering and Construction, and more.
The needs and requirements for mobile applications for each industry differ from each other. An enterprise mobility platform needs to be able to cover these requirements individually. Nevertheless there are aspects in enterprise mobility, especially in the field of mission-critical applications that are crucial for any enterprise.
„For Enterprise customers it is crucial that a cloud based mobility platform has to excel in three major components to deliver mission-critical applications“ Alberto Zamora explains.
As companies are trusting a third party with their processes continuity the cloud has to be absolutely reliable, ensuring scalability, secured data access, and 99,9% service and data availability. Furthermore a mission-critical cloud platform needs to guarantee full control of applications and data, enabling its users to monitor the app activities and make changes on the go.
Gartner explains in it’s report: „The value of enterprise mobility is linked to access to data stored in existing systems; however, mobile integration products often lack detailed control over that data. [...] Major ERP installations and legacy desktop programs often contain significant business process knowledge. Mobilizing a business process often requires access to these mobile-unfriendly systems.”
The third fundamental component is connectivity. A variety of people with different roles are involved in complex mission-critical processes. To execute their work they often need access to data from independent sources like databases, services or machines. Further a fast information flow between external service providers, internals, and end customers is crucial to keep mission-critical processes going without delay or interruption. Applications in that area need to function as a collaboration platform connecting anything and anyone. Delivering these 3 components is the value proposition of the Movilizer Technology. The company is constantly investing in the development and improvement of their cloud offerings for mission-critical applications.
Gartner states: “Movilizer provides rapid, pragmatic mobilization of essential business processes, which can then scale to huge volume, due to elastic cloud support […], enabling those familiar with ERP systems and processes, especially SAP, to rapidly create mobile apps with deep integration to the back-end systems and device capabilities.”
“At the moment we have an average of 1.5 Million transactions per day in the cloud. But these numbers are continuously increasing” says CTO Jörg Bernauer. He further stresses Movilizer’s goal to offer future-proof technology: “We are heavily investing in the development of our product, including new features and integration of latest technologies, to ensure that our customers can achieve operational excellence by leveraging on newest technology features such as M2M communication and IoT, while relying on a robust cloud service for their mission-critical processes.”
At the moment Movilizer is intensively working on the launch of Movilizer 2.4. This release will include besides new client functions and faster data processing a major improvement of the Movilizer Portal capabilities offering customers even more independence from their enterprise systems and even more control and analytical possibilities of the transferred data.
