The crucial factor for Swisscom to choose Movilizer, is the fact that the solution allows SAP customers to manage their entire mobile application from the SAP ABAP workbench, fully integrated in existing governance and software logistics strategies in a highly secured manner, without the need for additional infrastructure investment (no new servers or new technology stacks are required). Thanks to Movilizer, SAP ABAP developers are able to build new mobile apps (called ‘movelets’) or enhance the standard ones after only a few days of technical training.
“The references of Movilizer in the Swiss market, and the state of art ‘cloud-based’ architecture of the Movilizer Enterprise Mobility Platform were important factors for selecting Movilizer,” says Thomas Neuhaus, Head of Professional Services at Swisscom’s Solution Center Business Process Solutions & Services in the Enterprise Customers Division. “The platform comes with 15 out-of-the-box mobile applications, comprising more than 300 combinable ‘movelets’.”
Alberto Zamora, Member of the Managing Board at Movilizer, is very excited about Movilizer being selected by Swisscom: “Movilizer becomes a core element of mobile SAP propositions Swisscom makes to the Swiss market. Swisscom will bid with Movilizer in order to mobilize SAP Plant Maintenance and/or SAP Customer Service Processes (Movilizer for SAP PM/CS). Because Swisscom is Switzerland’s largest SAP integrator, this of course means a lot of potential for the Movilizer Platform.”
